Life is a game and we need to be slick in getting our decks right. In my opinion, by studying the conversation in the comic, it came to my senses that having to be a journalist is a tough call. There are constantly advantages and disadvantages in the choices we make in life. An individual has to be physically and mentally prepared before taking this job as a life time career. One has to be ready and dedicated to face the challenges and obstacles that come along the way. To be a journalist one has to fulfill the requirements in research and reporting. This also includes producing a news article that requires an inquiring mind, a passion for getting to the extremity of a story and learning every aspect of the particular favored topic. Moreover, being able to cover story that allows you to move into realms you might never have ventured into on your own. It is a fast-paced environment with new challenges and opportunities daily. Furthermore, you need to know exactly what you are getting yourself into. In addition to that, you need to be present at all times where the scene is taking place in order to get a successful cover.

“Why do you threaten us, smash our equipment, put us in jail, torture us and sometimes even kill us”? I believe this falls under the dangerous and risk taking category. Journalist who would bestow their life to get a firsthand story that would rouse the public. They would risk their lives, be it death or injury such as trying to cover a riot, war zone or other violent disturbance. As the second conversation in the comic “you make us look bad” clearly points out that many journalist are being accused for writing on corrupt news or being seen as the nemesis by certain members of the public, whereby their effort on trying to cover sensitive news or events are void. The public fail to see the exertion these journalists have to put themself through just to reveal certain secrets that are unknown to the public and the unprotected life they live in, making enemies along the way and leading their life in danger during this process.
